Abstract

We propose an adaptive 6.25 to 40 Gb/s long-reach passive-optical-network (LR-PON) using four-band orthogonal-frequency-division-multiplexing (OFDM) signals with 10-GHz bandwidth depending on the different fiber transmission lengths of 20 and 100 km.
