Hybrid 2.5G/10G Co-existing OFDMA-PON Employing Single Receiver at the OLT

Abstract

A 2.5G/10G co-existing OFDMA-PON is demonstrated through 20km SSMF with 31dB loss budget. Only one receiver at the OLT and low-speed transceiver at the 2.5G ONUs are required, thereby reducing system complexity and cost.
