10Gbps Parametric Short-Wave Infrared Transmitter

Abstract

We demonstrate the first 10Gb/s parametric transmitter in short-wave Infrared band. The device operates by converting 1278nm signal over 85THz to generate channel at 2002nm using highly-nonlinear-fiber and was characterized by error-free performance.
