Transmit Isolating Photonic Receive Links: a New Capability for Antenna Remoting

Abstract

We describe a new type of photonic link that replaces the low noise amplifier and circulator of conventional RF front ends, but has > 20 dB greater isolation and > 1000 times broader bandwidth.
