Abstract

Wavelength offset super Gaussian optical filters enable 7dB increases in optical power budget of 11.25Gb/s optical OFDM PON systems using directly modulated DFBs, considerably relax filter bandwidth requirement and improve performance robustness to bandwidth variation.
