Reconfigurable WDM/TDM-PON ring-architecture by using all-optical wavelength converter and injection-locked FP-LD

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a novel ring-based WDM/TDM-PON architecture which can flexibly concentrate subscribers in response to the demand. A wavelength converter and an injection-locked Fabry-Perot LD are respectively used for downstream and upstream forwarding.
