Colorless 10Gb/s extended reach WDM PON with low BW RSOA using MLSE

Abstract

A low bandwidth RSOA-based WDM-PON system is evaluated at 10Gb/s with an off-line processing. Results show that almost 20Km bidirectional and 125km unidirectional fiber are feasible by means of 8 states conventional MLSE.
