The spectroscopic properties of pristine and H<sub>2</sub>-loaded MCVD based Bi-doped aluminosilicate fibers were investigated. Also, the properties of Bi-doped fiber, fabricated by powder-in-tube method, have been compared to MCVD based Bi fiber.
