1.5µm Polarization Entangled Photon Pair Generation Based on Birefringence in Microstructure Fibers

Abstract

Birefringence in microstructure fiber leads to polarization dependent parametric florescence, which provides a novel scheme for polarization entangled photon pair generation. Its feasibility is demonstrated by two-photon interference measurement with fringes visibilities of >93%.
