Abstract

Limitations and potentials of nonlinearities in PPLN waveguides for ultra-fast all-optical processing have been experimentally investigated. A combination of pump depletion effect and SFG+DFG have been exploited to realize 320Gb/s optical demultiplexing and wavelength conversion.
