Abstract

We demonstrate 40 Gb/s OTDM to 4×10 Gb/s WDM conversion by cross-absorption modulation of time- and wavelength-interleaved laser pulses in an electro-absorption modulator. Error-free operation is obtained in all the converted outputs.
