Using Downstream DPSK Signal for Upstream OOK Signal Remodulation with RSOA in Hybrid WDM-TDM Passive Optical Networks

Abstract

We propose a signal remodulation of DPSK downstream and OOK upstream signals using RSOA at the customer side for the hybrid WDM-TDM PONs. Error-free operation was achieved in a 20-km-reach WDM-TDM PONs without dispersion compensation.
