Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate all-optical up-conversion of radio-over-fiber signals based on a dual-pump four-wave mixing in an semiconductor optical amplifier for the first time. 2.5Gbit/s baseband signals are successfully up-converted to 40-GHz millimeter-wave carrier.
