Quantum key distribution integrated into commercial WDM systems

Abstract

Quantum cryptography circumvents the threat on classical cryptography due to quantum computers. Its integration into WDM transmission systems is a key point in its commercial deployment. The necessary pre-requisites are discussed in this paper.
