Dynamics of room temperature DC-induced second-order nonlinearity in poled fiber under an external field

Abstract

We investigated room-temperature dynamics of an internal field-induced second-order nonlinearity (SON) in a poled fiber subject to an external DC field (±1.1MV/cm), and obtained an internal SON of ~0.01pm/V with a time constant of ~20s.
