Abstract

We transmitted 2Tb/s (200×10Gb/s) with 60% spectral efficiency over 7,300km with 4dB FEC margin using 150km spaced ROPA assisted repeaters. The same capacity, spectral efficiency and margin was achieved at 3,100km using 40Gb/s channels.
