Abstract

We propose a bidirectional configuration of self-phase-modulation-based all-optical 2R regenerator using a single nonlinear fiber for wavelength-shift-free operation. We confirm its effectiveness by a recirculating-loop transmission experiment at 80GHz repetition rate.
