Polarization-Independent Two-Pump Fiber Optical Parametric Amplifier with Polarization Diversity Technique

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a polarization independent two-pump fiber OPA based on polarization diversity. We achieve less than 0.4-dB PDG for 15.5-dB gain when the input signal polarization is swept over the Poincaré sphere.
