Abstract

Polarization-independent all-optical time-division-demultiplexing is successfully demonstrated by incorporating a polarization diversity loop into the conventional NOLM. The polarization dependence is reduced from 6.3dB to 0.6dB in a 40 to 10-Gb/s OTDM experiment.
