Coating damage suppression in hole-assisted fiber for high optical power wiring

Abstract

Effective suppression of temperature increase (<1K, at 3W) was observed in hole-assisted fiber (HAF) with tight bending. We report for the first time suppression due to reduction of whispering gallery mode and HAF’s applicability at 100W.
