Abstract

Chromatic dispersion in an SOA is characterized by high-accuracy broadband spectral interferometry. The chromatic dispersion is dominated by gain-induced frequency-dependent refractive index with a dispersion slope of 0.132 ps/nm2 at 100-mA injection current.
