Abstract

We demonstrate a self-starting optical-pulse source at 10GHz using an optoelectronic-oscillator based on an EML. The RF-component is generated from stimulated-Brillouin-scattering in optical fiber. Different types of optical fibers are used respectively to generate optical pulses at different repetition rates.
