Novel fabrication method of polymer PLC platforms with V-grooves for passive alignment

Abstract

Using a dry film resist, a novel method for fabrication of polymer PLC platforms with V-grooves is developed for passive alignment of optical fibers to polymer waveguides. This technique provides a simple and cost-effective fabrication method of polymer PLCs.
