Fiber-Bragg-grating force sensor based on a wavelength-switching actively mode-locked fiber laser

Abstract

We present an FBG transverse-force sensor based on a wavelength-switching actively mode-locked fiber laser. The output is represented by the time difference between the generated pulses, which is insensitive to temperature changes on the FBG.
