Abstract

Applying bit-to-bit alternate-polarization modulation at 43Gb/s ASK/DPSK formats, we found experimentally non-linear threshold benefit up to 4dB at RZ and 2dB at NRZ, reduction of DGD tolerance up to 3ps at RZ formats and of dispersion-tolerance of 20% at DPSK-NRZ.
