Abstract

We demonstrated transmission of 160-Gb/s OTDM signals comprising eight 20-Gb/s 2- bit/symbol ASK-DPSK tributary channels over 200 km of installed fiber to investigate the effect of bandwidth compression on transmission impairment due to polarization mode dispersion.
