Abstract

We demonstrate a diode-pumped, passively mode-locked Nd:YVO4 (vanadate) laser with a repetition rate of 10 GHz emitting at 1.34 µm. Passive mode locking was achieved by using a novel GaInNAs based saturable absorber mirror.
