Erbium emission in highly doped tellurite and alumina-silica novelty fibers

Abstract

We present a summary of emission properties of doped tellurite and alumina-silica fibers. The tellurite fiber offer higher and flatter signal gain over shorter lengths and the alumina-silica fiber, lower losses and better physical properties.
