Optical ASK/DPSK Label Encoding based on Injection Locking of Fabry-Perot Laser Diode

Abstract

We demonstrate an optical-label encoding and swapping of a two-level optically-labeled signal using simultaneous ASK/DPSK orthogonal modulation for payload and label respectively. The bit-error-rate measurements for label and payload proved the feasibility of this method.
