Zero chirp Broadband Z-cut LiNbO3 Optical Modulator using polarization reversal and branch electrode

Abstract

A novel single drive Z-cut Ti-diffused LiNbO3 modulator with a small chirp parameter less than 0.02 was demonstrated using polarization reversal and branch electrode. The modulator showed preferable 10Gb/s eye-opening and bias stability.
