All-optical OOK label swapping on OFSK payload in optical packet networks

Abstract

We propose to superimpose OOK label onto high-speed OFSK payload in optical packet networks. The transmission performance of 1.244-Gb/s label on 9.953-Gb/s payload was investigated and all-optical label swapping was successfully demonstrated with low penalty.
