S-band optical amplification employing silica-based phosphorous/alumina-codoped EDF

Abstract

Employing silica-based P/Al-codoped EDF, the gain enhancement of 9dB compared to Al-codoped EDF has been achieved over the wavelength range from 1491 to 1502nm in the four-stage configuration EDFA pumped with the power of 400mW.
