Specialty Fiber: Novel Fibers for Photonic Devices

Abstract

Fiber-based devices like EDF and DCMs are critical building blocks of communications systems. In several new areas, novel fibers enable new properties and advances in photonic components. Areas like amplification, dispersion control, nonlinear devices and microstructured fiber will be discussed.
