Abstract

A non-disruptive PMD measurement technique (utilizing the sidebands of working channels) is demonstrated, compared to the Mueller Matrix Method, and applied to a 43Gb/s field-installed system. Correlation between Differential Group Delay and Bit-Error Rate is observed.
