Tapered Index-Coupled 1.55µm InGaAsP/InP-BH-DFB-Laser with Chirped-Period Gratings

Abstract

All-active tapered index coupled 1.55 µm InGaAsP-BH-DFB-lasers involving chirped gratings were realized for the first time. The laser show small far-fields, high output power and high single mode yield.
