Abstract
Chirped Return to Zero (CRZ) transmission format enabled significant advances in achieving high data capacities over transoceanic distances.1 When compared to pure Return to Zero (RZ) or Non-Return to Zero (NRZ) formats CRZ turned out to be more robust to signal distortions due to nonlinear interactions.2
