40 GBIT/S EYEPATTERN OF A PHOTORECEIVER OEIC WITH MONOLITHICALLY INTEGRATED SPOT SIZE CONVERTER

Abstract

A combination of an InP-based monolithically integrated photoreceiver with a spot size converter is presented. A total receiver conversion gain of more than 1 A/W, an extended bandwidth of 47 GHz for error corrected 40 Gbit/s application are achieved.
