Abstract

We demonstrate 640-Gb/s (32 ch×20 Gb/s) WDM transmission with 0.4-(bit/s)/Hz spectral efficiency using short- period dispersion-managed fiber (Perfect Cable™). The average Q-factor was measured to be better than 18 dB after transmission over 280 km.
