Shift and splitting of resonant peaks in long-period fiber gratings for sensing applications

Abstract

We will discuss a simple method to change the transmission characteristics of long-period fiber gratings using UV post-exposure. Application of the resonant peak splitting to bend, transverse load, and index change sensing will be described.
