A new scheme for all-optical signal reshaping based on wavelength conversion in optical fibers

Abstract

We theoretically demonstrate for the first time that, if Four Wave Mixing in fibers is properly optimized, wavelength-converted signals can exhibit excellent intensity-noise cancellation. Numerical simulations confirm almost complete suppression of intensity fluctuations.
