Abstract

Use of photonic links for antenna remoting is advantageous in microwave receiver systems due to nearly lossless transmission of RF signals through the optical fiber, low susceptibility to electromagnetic interference, ultrawide bandwidth, and low weight of the fiber-optic cabling.
