Abstract

Optical add-drop multiplexers (ADM's) are key devices in wavelength-division multiplexing communication systems. Various types of all-fiber ADM's have been demonstrated by using fiber Bragg gratings combined with a circulator, a Mach-Zehnder interferometer, or a directional coupler based on grating-assisted coupling.
