Abstract

We successfully test the feasibility of a 10,000-channel (32 wavelengths with 310 subcarriers), 20-Mbit/s/channel (200-Gbit/s throughput) wavelength-division-multiplexing-and-subcarrier-multiplexing (WDM/SCM) broadcast-and-select (B&S) system over a 20-km optical fiber. This can be applied to local networks in hyper-media photonic information networks.
