Abstract

The increasing need of transmission capacity greatly impact the submarine business. Very recent experiments [1-4] have shown promising techniques to be viable for N*10Gb/s transmission systems. However, these experiments where performed on loop configurations and only straight line experiments can guarantee installed system performances.
