Abstract

Dispersion compensation has been demonstrated as an effective solution to upgrade the transmission capacity of NDS fiber from OC-48 to OC-192 on actual networks. Fiber based dispersion compensation (DCF) approach has been extensively proved in recent years and is now ready for in-field deployments.
