Abstract

ZBLAN fluoride optical fibers are currently used in numerous applications, including special-purpose optical amplifiers for fiber-optic links in the 1.3 μm and 1.55 μm telecommunication windows, and in diode- pumped fiber lasers in the visible and mid-IR regions.
