Abstract

Recently we demonstrated a novel Brillouin/Erbium Fibre Laser (BEFL), which simultaneously utilized two gain media, gain in Erbium-doped fibre (EDF) and Brillouin gain in single-mode optical fibre (SMOF) [1].
