Abstract
The 1.5-µm-band wavelength converter is a key device for future waveiength-division-multiplexing (WDM) optical communication systems. For practical applications, several requirements, such as high conversion efficiency, wide wavelength- conversion bandwidth, fast switching of output wavelength, small size, and capability of multichannel conversion, must be satisfied. However, none of the reported devices fulfills all of these requirements at this time.1-4
