Abstract
Optical frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) can increase transmission capacity by using the huge bandwidth of light waves.1,2 It is applicable to trunk transmission networks, subscriber networks, and metropolitan networks.3 This paper describes a shelf-mounted 128-channel OFDM information-distri; bution system with interactive channels based on demand-assign optical frequency-division multiple access (DA-OFDMA).
