Abstract

We report what we believe to be the First experimental demonstration of a bistable optical switching device based on a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) and its monolithic integration with other generic latching or nonlatching VCSEL-based switches on a single epitaxial structure grown by LP-MOCVD.
